About
By lotshwpThe Legends of the Superheroes was bad TV. Even in 1979. But it still attracts attention even today. With events such as ComicCon, the fan base for almost any comic book character – superhero or not – only gets bigger.
We don’t know that much about it yet as it hasn’t seen the light of day since the first broadcast. It is hidden away in some vault (or BatCave) somewhere. You can catch videos on YouTube and other places on the internet until Warner Bros. swoops down and squashes it. But even when you find it the quality is well, less than to be desired.
Batman seems to have outgrown the campy 60′s television show. The latest movies are dark, more brooding, and definitely do not have roots in the ’60s. They are attempting to portray the character from the original Bob Kane creation.
All of the incarnations that Batman – and the other Superheroes – have their charm and their fans. Many don’t overlap. If you liked Adam West, then you might not like Michael Keaton, and then not be fond of Christian Bale. But we think there is room for everyone.
If the Legends of the Superheroes does resurface and gains a new audience, then hopefully Fox will see fit to allow all of the Batman TV shows to reappear. Stranger things have happened.
